Effective: February 28, 2019

The purpose of this policy is to clarify fees that were previously approved in the Policy and Procedures amended August 2005. These fees will be charged to individuals/businesses desiring to connect a new water and/or sewer service with Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority (LCWSA). This policy will ensure all new connections will be charged based on their impact to our infrastructure.

The following is the schedule to be used to determine the amount of fees to be assessed for connecting to Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority’s infrastructure.

* Impact and/or Tap Fee is waived if previously paid by the developer. Transfer charges may still apply. If a road bore is required on a state or federal highway the cost will be added to the total price shown.

** Impact fees will be assessed at a rate of $1000 per residential equivalent based on the number and type of development units. The residential equivalent is based on water usage of 200 gallons per day. Formula for calculating the fee is [(Peak flow (gpd) / 200) x $1000]. Peaking factors are shown within the Standard Water & Sewer Specifications & Design Criteria. Impact fees for Industrial Customers with water usage above 1,000,000 gallons per month will be based on the obligated capacity needed by each entity or the capital improvement cost where existing infrastructure will not meet the demand of the entity.

***LCWSA will install tap and required vault (based on detail shown in Standard Water & Sewer Specifications & Design Criteria). Any remaining portion of fire line after the vault is the responsibility of the owner.
